Barr, 93, a Presbyterian minister who had worked in Nashville for more than 50 years, will be 11 a.m. tomorrow at Trinity Presbyterian Church. 19Dr. Barr, who was living in Leland, at the time of his death, died Tuesday in Vanderbilt University Medical Center of an undisclosed BARR cause.

Roesch-Patton-Austin Bracey Funeral Home is in arrangements. He was born in Greenville, S.C., on July 17, 1904, and received degrees from Davidson College in South Carolina and Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He came to Nashville to serve as an assistant at First Presbyterian Church, where he later served as pastor from 1936-43 at its thendowntown location. He was an organizer of Trinity Presbyterian Church and served as its first pastor from 1943 until his retirement in 1969. mi After retirement, he served as guest preacher and interim pastor sin Presbyterian churches in Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi.

Thomas Barr was a man of a man of faith," said John R. Hilley, pastor of Downtown Presbyterian Church. "He taught his family and the congregations in -Nashville that their roots are roots of faith. This faith was expressed in the Bible's teachings of for one another' and was -committed to justice, especially for -what society calls the 'nobodies' of the world." 10 Survivors include his wife, B.
